'One night I was sleeping at our old home before we moved. Many nights we could hear heavy footsteps walking about on the wood hallways and stairs leading to our bedrooms. But often nobody was there when we checked. This night my parents went out and only my older sister was with me in the house. we both went to bed but I could not stay asleep. Then, I heard those heavy foot steps. First rather faint and then louder and louder. Actually it was as if they were getting closer. I was so scared I pulled the cover over my head. For a short while I did not hear the footsteps. And just as I was getting ready to look I heard them again - LOUDER ! This time closer as if they were in the room. So slow and heavy, and I could swear I hear a person breathing heavily. Then, it all stopped. I waited for a while and when some good time passed I decided to pull the blanket a bit lower and look. As I removed the blanket, slowly, I had two big scary eyes in front of mine, really really close. The face of an old ugly man was right in front of mine. I was startled and so scared I could not move and nor talk. I wanted to scream for my sister. But I had no voice and no movement. The ghost turned around and slowly walked to the door and then he seemed to vanish or disappear. I was so scared and wanted to go to the bathroom and cry. Instead, I pulled the cover back over myself and stayed in bed till the morning. Many years past before I said anything to my sister. I thought she would think I am crazy or something. I was surprised when she told me the same thing happened to hear ones, nearly around the same time as it had happened to me.

Celeb School Stories - the wrong shoes..
Emma Roberts knows how important clothes and shoes can be the first day of school. She reportedly talked about her wearing high heeled shoes on the first day of middle school, in an interview recently. Apparently, high heeled shoes were not allowed at her school. Every class she attended that day she was reminded by her teachers that she could not wear that type of shoes. Emma ended up really embarrassed. What she really wanted that day, was to call her mom and ask her to return to school with another pair of shoes.

Who knew - brushing teeth does and don'ts....
How often did we hear: 'Go and brush your teeth, all that food / candy will destroy your teeth!' ? However, if you just ate fruit or candy you should wait at least 30 minutes before brushing your teeth! The reason: Acids found in food 'attack' your teeth's enamel. If you add the friction of the brushing movement, the enamel thins out double the speed. Suggestion: wash your mouth out with water.

Spencer Silver was an inventor trying to improve the stickiness of tape for a company named 3M. But he failed! His glue was too weak. Another 3M inventor named Arthur Fry decided to try the weak adhesive on bookmarks he used to mark his favorite pages. The sticky bookmarks worked so well, they soon became Post-its!

Why school is important... I guess
So, normally I would totally contribute something else to this magazine. School, who wants to talk about that? Unless - a cute guy or girl is involved. lol But this is different. For ever my parents told me to do my best and really apply myself so that I can have a good future, make good money and get a job that I really enjoy. So, unconnected to this subject I read the paper and found a piece on a Gent from Georgia by the name of Troy Davis, who was up for execution. He was said to of shot and killed an off-duty police officer in Georgia. This man has fought the system for twenty years and maintained and plead his innocence till the last seconds of his death. Apparently, he had many supporters in this. The story read that the officer's family was very happy to finally have this situation over with and come to piece over the death of their family member. Hmmmm, so I am thinking about this. We see many movies and though I am not allowed all movies yet... common we all know a bit more than we should. So what if he told the truth? This is the system we believe in? I think I get why the family is 'at peace'. They want a person to blame and to hold responsible for the crime. So, what if it was not that guy, Troy Davis. This is what they were told and are willing to hold onto. The police told them so, so it has to be true, right. But if it is not? Not true that is. What if it really was not this man but another officer or somebody the police do not want to expose. I mean, many people supported Troy Davis. Many officials who hold some say in the matter. It kind of irks me a bit. This is what I am supposed to believe in? And follow? Don't you wonder? I wonder how much they really investigated? I mean, police believes police. Just not all officers are the same, have the same values. It is actually scary to grow up in this hot mess of a 'Scociety'. I talked to my parents and it helped a bit. One thing I took away from that conversation was: WE can change things. We can become the people who pull strings and are in charge. What if I would be a lawyer or an investigator - wait, Miami Vice here..lol- and revisit that case. I guess school is important ... I suppose. The more education we have, the more credit we get when we take on these jobs. We always hear we can be anything. But, I guess, WE can become those people who can better this 'Society'. Though, somethings we might not be able to change it all. At least, we have done our best. Is it all about picking sides? This thing we call LIFE sounds like a really grumpy video game! I don't know? Are you ready to play?

We love our shoes, no doubt. But we came across some facts we would like to share with you. Where are your shoes right now? Besides the ones on your feet! Are they at the bottom of your closet? it has been reported that footwear contains 421,000 germs per sole, by University of Arizona in Tuscon's researchers. Also, if your shoes are at the bottom of your closet, they can contaminate other shoes. Inn addition, germs are transferred to your hands each time you pull out a pair of shoes. This could pose a higher risk of GI illness. WHAT can you do to fix that problem, and reduce the risk to 60%? After you take of your shoes put them in boxes. End result: the germs will not travel from pair to pair.

Greyson could have used a love doctor
It is not easy to grow up. Our experiences can make us stronger but can also be very hurtful. Recently, in a candid interview with another magazine, Greyson confessed that he had his heart broken. His feelings were very strong for that special girl and brought a great deal of sadness to his life. It is ok to feel real feelings and not to pretend to be the 'player,' kids send out to be in order to appear cool. Little do boys know, more girls like boys who do not pretend to be made of stone. In Greyson's case, as memories keep coming back through various pictures and experiences, he pored his feelings into his songs. His talent gives him a platform to express himself. Besides, nothing helps more to get over your ex-girlfriend than having 50,000 fans scream your name. :) It may have taken him a long time to get over his ex-girlfriend but he is in a much better place now. Also, he is ready for the next girlfriend.

Twist Magazine reported in its September issue that Lady Gaga was cruelly teased in school and it had affected her confidence.
Famously sassy Gaga wasn't always that way. In school, she dealt with bullies. "I was teased for being ugly, for having a big nose, or for being annoying," she spills. "They'd say, 'Your laugh is funny, you're weird, why do you always sing, why are you so into theater, why do you do your makeup like that?' I didn't even want to go to school sometimes." But now she's proud to be different.

Rumor mill
This week nearly every magazine picked up on an interview Justin Bieber gave. The most memorable line was that Justin reportedly said he wants to be a young dad. Further, it was printed that he gave himself about 10 years to date to fulfill that plan. Almost everybody had this question: does Selena know? Our question however: will he still sing in 10 years or might he switch to acting?
