Animal Cloning

1996
Dolly, a lamb, was the first mammal ever to be successfully cloned from an adult cell.  She was the only one out of 300 cloned cells to survive.  Vegetables are much easier to clone, and many can be found in your grocery store.

PS: when Dolly was first cloned it was quite controversial.  Back then many people thought science had gone too far, and cloning was a too great power to trust us humans with.  Some people feared that a super army may be created by some governments and that altering humans for personal gain may be the end result.
